Information you give us

When you contact us by phone, text, email or our website's contact form, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address and details about items you would like to sell. Our contact form asks for your first and last name, phone number, email address, the type of item you're interested in selling (optional) and your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. This is used to deliver the website and keep it secure. Our hosting provider may also set a cookie used only for security, to help protect the site from automated abuse; it is not used for analytics or advertising.

Cookies and website analytics

Optional cookies, for website analytics and ad measurement, are off unless you accept them in the notice shown on your first visit or with the "Privacy Settings" link at the bottom of every page, where you can also change your choice at any time. Accepting turns on both; declining keeps both off. If you chose analytics only before ad measurement was added, that choice stays as it is until you change it. We store your answer, whether you accept or decline, in a cookie named cv_privacy, which expires after one year. Declining deletes the Google Analytics and advertising cookies set by this website.

With analytics on, Google Analytics uses cookies that store identifiers in your browser. It receives information such as the pages you visit, how you reached our site (including whether you came from one of our ads), your device and browser type and your approximate location. It also records when you start our contact form, when a message is sent successfully and when you tap our phone number. It never receives what you type into the form. We use this to understand how our website is used, including whether visits from our ads lead to inquiries.

If you accept, advertising cookies that Google's tag sets on this website (named _gcl_au and _gcl_aw) and the ad-click identifier Google adds to the page address let Google connect your visit to the Google ad you clicked, so Google Ads can count an inquiry sent through our contact form as a result of that ad. Google receives that your visit came from the ad and that an inquiry was sent, never what you type into the form. We use this only to measure our ads, not to personalize ads or to build audiences for remarketing.

With analytics on, Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, receives information such as the pages you visit, the page that referred you and your browser and device type.

We do not use website analytics or ad measurement for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Personalized ads are always off: we do not use this information to personalize ads, and we do not send Google your name, email address, phone number or message.

How we use information

We use your information to respond to your inquiry, usually with a phone call; to evaluate and complete purchases you choose to make; to keep records required by law; and to protect our customers and business against fraud and misuse. We do not send promotional or marketing messages.

Phone calls and text messages

We use Dialpad for customer calls and text messages. If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry or a sale you have started with us. We do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages, reply HELP for help, or call (239) 422-7522.

We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers such as Dialpad process this information only to deliver our calls and messages.

Services we use

• Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the technical information described above.
• Google Fonts provides the website's fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and browser information.
• Google Analytics measures how visitors who turn on website analytics use our website.
• Google Ads, for visitors who accept optional cookies, measures whether our ads lead to inquiries.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics measures, without cookies, how visitors who turn on website analytics use our website.
• Dialpad handles our customer calls and text messages.
• Resend delivers contact-form messages to our business email inbox.
• Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect our contact form from spam and automated abuse. When you open our contact page, it runs a check in your browser and sends Cloudflare technical information such as your IP address and browser details. We use it only to protect the form.
• Our website links to Google Maps, Google reviews, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

In-store transactions and identification

When selling jewelry, precious metals or other valuables to Covenant Jewelry Buyers LLC, customers are required to provide a valid government-issued photo ID.

As part of the purchasing process, we collect identification details, contact information, transaction records and a digitally captured fingerprint.

Fingerprint records are maintained digitally, while transaction records may be maintained in both digital and physical formats. This information is collected for transaction verification, fraud prevention, business recordkeeping and applicable legal requirements.

Customer and transaction records are retained in accordance with applicable legal and business recordkeeping requirements. Information may be disclosed to authorized law-enforcement agencies or other parties when required or permitted by applicable law.

We do not sell this information or use fingerprint data for marketing purposes.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for personalized advertising or remarketing. We share it only with the service providers listed above, which use it to provide their services to us; with Google for website analytics and to measure whether our Google ads lead to inquiries, only for visitors who accept optional cookies, as described above; with law enforcement or government agencies when the law requires or permits it; and when needed to protect our customers, our business or the public.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiries and messages only as long as needed to respond and for our normal business records. Purchase records from our store, including fingerprints, are kept as described in "In-store transactions and identification" above. Our hosting provider keeps technical logs under its own policies. The service that delivers contact-form messages keeps delivery records under its own policies. Google Analytics keeps detailed event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; aggregated reports are not affected by these limits.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no website or storage method is completely secure. Please don't send ID numbers, bank details or other sensitive information through our website, by email or by text.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13, and we buy items only from sellers who are 18 or older.

Questions and requests

You can contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. Records the law requires us to keep cannot be deleted early.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
